Fees
I charge £40 per 50-minute session. However, for those interested in therapy but not quite ready to commit, I am pleased to offer a free initial 15-minute phone consultation, to enable us both to see how we get on together. Fees are payable monthly in arrears. Depending on availability, I may be able to offer reduced fees to keyworkers, those in receipt of benefits, and students.
Sessions are held at a set time, usually weekly but occasionally twice a week, according to mutual agreement.
Location
My Central Bath consulting room at The Practice Rooms is within 10 minutes' walk of Bath Spa Railway and Bus Stations, affording easy access to clients from Trowbridge, Chippenham and rural areas of Wiltshire and Somerset. My room here is upstairs without lift access. I also see clients at Fairfield House in Newbridge, Bath. My ground floor room here is wheelchair-accessible and there is ample free parking available on-site.
Mode of therapy
I primarily work face-to-face but in some circumstances I offer telephone sessions by arrangement. In addition, I can offer a visiting service (domiciliary therapy)- for example, for housebound/ frail clients with access challenges.
Confidentiality and Ethical Code
All personal information disclosed during a session will be kept confidential, with these exceptions:
a) It is a professional and ethical requirement that I discuss my client work regularly with my UKCP supervisor
b) If there is a concern for your safety, or the safety of a significant other close to you, consultation may be sought with another professional, but in this unusual situation the matter will normally be discussed with you first and a mutually agreeable way forward will be sought.
c) When I am compelled by a court of law (very rare).
As a UKCP registered trainee, I abide by their Code of Practice and Ethics, and that of my training college, BCPC.
Insurance
I am fully insured to provide face-to-face, telephone, domiciliary and online psychotherapy sessions.
